When I was young, someone would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up and the only thing I could come up with was I wanted to help people.

I began my career as a hairstylist. It wasn’t very long until I opened my own salon & spa. However, my mother was ill and I sold it to take care of her in the end of her life. After she passed I learned quite a bit about life insurance. After covering her final expenses I decided that I wanted my inheritance to matter and mean something. With the $12,000 I received (after being split 4 ways), I funded my first retirement account with half, and the other half I invested in my career. I was able to fulfill my dream of becoming a national educator for the leading education team in the industry. I taught in salons, classrooms, and on stage across the US for 12 years. In 2020 simultaneously when the world shut down, events and shows were cancelled, I became severely allergic to all beauty products. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that is not uncommon in the beauty industry. It was time to leave the salon full time, but I still wanted to make an impact in the beauty industry…

One common thing I saw in my travels was that not many in the beauty industry are prepared for the future. The beauty industry had failed to teach beauty pros to plan for retirement, illness protection, and end of life. So I decided to do something about it. I wrote a book for hairstylists called “Secrets of a six figure stylist”, The Beauty Business Blueprint, and became a  licensed producer. Because sharing is caring!

I fell in love with helping all kinds of people (not just beauty pros) plan for their future and the security of their families with life insurance. I find it very rewarding as well in my home life as a wife and mother. Being there for capturing every moment is everything! After all, we are never promised tomorrow…
